The university accepts full credit transfer of foreign credentials evaluated by the following institution. Submit all academic credentials directly to  Either ONE of the following  agencies with the required fee listed on their respective websites:

Education Credential Evaluators, Inc or Josef Silny & Associates, Inc. Send to ONE evaluation agency only.

International Credentials Evaluation

In keeping with its mission, Borneo Open International University awards credit for certificate, diploma, higher diploma degree-level coursework completed at approved universities or university-parallel institutions from countries beyond the United States of America.

An approved university is one that is officially recognized as degree- or diploma-granting by the National Accreditation Board or other regulatory agency for higher education in the country in which the institution is located. This agency is usually the national ministry of education or national department of education.


Only those courses taken at approved colleges and universities will be considered for credit transfer .

If you are submitting transcripts/credentials from countries outside the United States, you are required to use the following agencies, which  would advise Borneo Open International University on international education credit and on how that credit corresponds to comparable credit completed in the United States of America.

Borneo Open International University would establish unique relationship with these and other parallel organizations for foreign credit evaluation on a case by case basis. These international academic credential evaluation agencies would conduct detailed evaluations for Borneo Open International University prospective students. Their evaluations are consistent with the Borneo Open International University's goals and expected academic outcomes.



Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE)

For all transcripts/credentials outside the U.S. except Israel:

1.    Contact Education Credential Evaluators, Inc directly to request a printed ECE application via access the form electronically at the ECE Web site,

2.    When you complete the application, you need to request a Subject Analysis evaluation report (in Section 2) and request that your evaluation report be sent to Borneo Open International University (in Section 4).

3.    Submit English translated course descriptions/syllabi required for your Borneo Open International University in the area of specialization , for example

•  Business - professional component and core arts and science courses
•  Liberal Arts - concentration courses
•  Nursing - anatomy, physiology, microbiology, psychology, sociology, and mathematics, including statistics courses
•  Technology - technical component and core arts and science courses

1.    Request an application directly from Silny by calling ++ 305-273-1616.
2.    Complete the application choosing "Course-by-Course Evaluation.
3.    Request that a copy of the evaluation be sent to Borneo Open International University.

Full Credit Transfer is accepted based on reports from Educational Credential Evaluators Inc., USA.  or Josef Silny & Associates, Inc. The evaluation MUST indicate that ALL work has been COMPLETED at an institution that is equivalent to a regionally accredited institution in the USA. Credit levels MUST fulfill requirement levels of semester credit hours needed to qualify of a diploma, bachelor, master or doctoral level qualifications in a regionally accredited institution in the USA. No further work is necessary and Borneo Open International University would issue its own degrees based on the evaluation reports. Borneo Open International University ONLY accepts credit transfer from regionally accredited institutions in the USA or other government accredited institutions from other countries.
