Ms. Lana Yang

Dr. Lana Yang is the IAEWP Permanent Main Representative to the United Nations in New York City, USA.  She has been actively involved in IAEWP since January 2003. As an Ambassador of Peace, she travels across all continents, promoting peace and harmony across cultures and religions. 


Dr. Lana Yang was born in China, and grew up in Taiwan. She studied Chinese Literature at the National Taiwan University before moving to the United States to continue her university education.  She has a B.S. degree in biology at University of California, San Diego and M.S. with Ph.D equivalency in physiology and pharmacology at the medical school of the University of California, San Diego. She has also completed the Business Management Program with Distinction at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.


Dr. Lana Yang has  over 30 years of experience in every segment of the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. She has worked with numerous pioneer scientists in cell and molecular biology, such as founders of biotech companies of monoclonal antibodies diagnostics (Hybritech, Inc.), DNA/RNA probe technology (GenProbe, Inc.) and neurosciences (Neurocrine, Inc.) as well as with two Nobel Laureates, Dr. Roger Guillemin in neuroendocrinology  while at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, and with Dr. Ferid Murad on Alzheimer's Disease while at Abbott Laboratories.


Dr. Lana Yang has had extensive experience in all phases of pharmaceutical drug development, including clinical trials in oncology, GI, cardiovascular, neuroscience, metabolic diseases, pain control, anesthesia, anti-infective and anti-inflammatory therapeutic areas. She has held leadership roles on cross-functional commercialization project teams including clinical research, exploratory medicine, business analysis, market research and new products development.  Dr. Lana has achieved FDA approval of three New Drug Applications for anti-inflammatory, anti-infective and HIV drugs. In addition, she has been honored with many recognition awards for her contributions.


Dr. Lana Yang is the founder President of US-China Business Alliance, LLC based in Philadelphia, PA, USA that offers strategic business development consulting for Biotech and Nutraceutical industries, including anti-aging, stem cell research and DNA diagnostics tests for infectious and chronic diseases. Dr. Lana is also actively promoting Green energy, nuclear disarmament and environmental protection as well as Peace education emphasizing conflict resolution, disaster management, corporate social responsibility and business ethics.  She is also the co-founder and chairman of the World Harmony Open University, USA.


Dr. Lana Yang is actively promoting global harmony between nations as a Peace Ambassador and the Main Representative to the United Nations ECOSOC for the NGO International Association of Educators for World Peace (www.iaewp.org).  She is on the board of World Harmony Organization (USA), World Peace and Development Association (China) and Sino-US Cultural Exchange Services, LLC (USA).
